7 Ways to Save Money on Wedding Invitations
So here you are planning that big wedding – or small – that you always wanted and the bills just keep rolling in. What do you do to save some hard earned cash? Well, you could start with the wedding invitations.
Saving money on wedding invitations is very easy and shouldn’t be too hard even for those of you who claim to have no artistic talent at all.
Many clipart style websites offer design packages on free trial. All you have to do is choose a free image, type in the words you want to use in the color and font you want and presto, you have the makings of some stylish, yet inexpensive, wedding invitation cards.
Add some ribbons gleaned from the wedding party – or those of a similar color and style – and these invitations suddenly become very attractive.
Even choosing the words you want is not so hard since many websites provide suggestion verses. If you want to stick strictly to the correct wording, you will find it here.
Of course, if money is a big issue, you could try hand writing your own cards. Not so good if your handwriting is not up to par but some people take calligraphy lessons to help this along. Not only do you save money but you learn a new art at the same time!
Many stationers have stock wedding cards in packs of ten, twenty or more. All you have to do is fill in the blanks and there you have a cheap way of inviting people to your big day. They also provide response cards, place cards etc., all in the same coordinating colors.
Now if you really want to do this for practically no cost at all, you could try the ultra modern way of inviting people and that is by e-card. There are several designs on offer and you merely type in the words you want and send off to all those people with email addresses.
I don’t know anyone who has been brave enough to try this way to date but it can only be a matter of time!
